  • In 2024, David Joerger became an Assistant Coach for the Milwaukee Bucks. Coach Joerger was born in Staples, Minnesota and graduated from Minnesota-State Moorhead. Coach Joerger won five championships across three different basketball leagues in seven seasons (IBA, CBA, NBA D League). Coach Joerger has two children (Alli & Kiana), and is married to his wife, Kimberly.

  • Dufault comes to Chicago with five seasons of NBA experience under his belt. Dufault, who was a four-year starter at Colorado University (2008-12), spent the last four seasons with the Detroit Pistons as an Assistant and Player Development Coach for two campaigns and an Assistant Video Coordinator for two years as well. Preceding his stint with Detroit, Dufault began his professional coaching career as a Coaching Associate with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018. Dufault also wields six professional seasons as a player, suiting up in pro leagues in Czech Republic, North Macedonia, France, Finland, Hungary and Japan.

  • In 2024, Ross McMains became an Assistant Coach for the Boston Celtics. Coach McMains was born in New Hampshire and grew up in New Zealand on Waiheke Island.

  • Upon graduating high school, Coach McMains began coaching with the New Zealand Breakers. Eventually, McMains came back to the states to begin his player development career (2007) which led to his coaching career (2012).

Tom Hankins

Tom Hankins

  • Fort Wayne Mad Ants Head Coach
  • Tom Hankins is the seventh head coach in Mad Ants history. Hankins took over the head coaching duties for Fort Wayne for the 2021 single site season in Orlando after starting with the Pacers organization in 2019.

  • During the 2019-20 season, Hankins served as a Player Development Assistant with the Pacers. He could often be seen in Fort Wayne accompanying two-way players while they were with the Mad Ants. Prior to working with the Pacers, Hankins coached for over 20 years on the college level, most recently spending four seasons as the head coach of Central Oklahoma University, where he won 64 games.

  • Prior to that, he was the Associate Head Coach for three years at Southern Illinois and spent from 1998-2012 as an assistant coach for Oral Roberts, where he made many visits to Fort Wayne as the Golden Eagles played IPFW.

  • 2021 Indiana Pacers – Oversaw scouts and match preparation; led player development for the main team and Fort Wayne Mad Ants (affiliate), including in-game coaching.

  • Jenkins has worked with notable players in development camps including Davis Bertans, Terry Rozier, Robert Williams, Arnoldas Kulboka and Darjuš Lavrinovič.
